Endophytic bacteria: a possible path towards a sustainable agriculture
نویسندگان
چکیده
Endophytic bacteria are a promising tool in the development of sustainable agriculture. Their biological mechanisms atmospheric nitrogen fixation, phosphate solubilization, production phytohormones and inhibition plant pathogens pests promote growth avoiding need for chemical fertilizers control agents. A patent search was carried out Derwent Innovations Index database to assess panorama technological related use endophytic three important agricultural crops, i.e., corn, soybean, sugarcane. The rank publications by country leaded China, USA, Canada, Brazil, among these countries, Brazil lead worldwide grains. Several new bacterial strains were protected as bioinoculants or biopesticides. Formulations containing mostly intended seed coating spraying acted directly diseases, well increasing resistance environmental stress. In many cases, they promoting plants producing hormones that regulate increase nutrient uptake.

Association of Rhizospheric/Endophytic Bacteria with Plants: A Potential Gateway to Sustainable Agriculture
Application of associative bacteria for sustainable agriculture holds immense potential. These bacteria are known to enhance growth and yield of plants by fixing atmospheric nitrogen, solubilization of phosphate, production of phytohormones and siderophores, possession of antagonistic activity as well as reducing the level of stress ethylene in host plants. Colonization of these bacteria can be...
متن کاملTools Towards Managing Mycorrhiza for Sustainable Agriculture
The arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi, in concert with other soil dwelling microorganisms such as the so-called “plant growth promoting rhizobacteria”, play a pivotal role for natural soil fertility and stability, hence, for sustainable crop production. Appropriate management of the AM fungal community is crucial, especially in the tropics where the cultivated soils are notoriously fragile and ...
متن کاملTowards Sustainable Agriculture: Challenges and Opportunities
The environmental impact of agriculture cannot be ignored. In many countries, as much as 70 per cent of the land area is in agricultural use. Over a third of the global agricultural land area is in high-intensity, continuous cropping systems that use high levels of agrochemicals and reshape land and waterways. The rest is under such a farming system that uses far fewer inputs, but requires rela...

Rhizosphere microbiome which has been shown to enhance plant growth and yield are modulated or influenced by a few environmental factors such as soil type, plant cultivar, climate change and anthropogenic activities. In particular, anthropogenic activity, such as the use of nitrogen-based chemical fertilizers, is associated with environmental destruction and this calls for a more ecofriendly st...
